We have accepted a challenge from Hearts to beat Kotoko – Nkana CEO

Nkana FC Chief Executive Officer Charles (CEO) Chakatayza has indicated that Nkana FC have accepted a challenge from arch-rivals Hearts of Oak to defeat Asante Kotoko on Sunday in the CAF Confederation Cup match day four to be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium

According to Charles, they were met at the Kotoka International Airport by some Hearts of Oak supporters who challenged them to beat arch-rivals Asante Kotoko in Sunday’s game. Nkana FC arrived in Ghana on Wednesday

“Hearts of Oak supporters met us at the Kotoka International Airport and told us to beat Kotoko for them. We accepted the challenge and told them we will do that for them, he told Oyerepa FM.

Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of the National Chapters Committee of Hearts of Oak has publicly voiced out that his outfit will support Nkana both physically and spiritually to defeat arch-rivals on Sunday

“When Nkana FC arrived, they wanted someone who can lead and direct them so they called on me; because they have the likes of Ben Adama and Richard Okran who are Ghanaians, I accepted to lead them” he told Kobby Stone on Asempa FM

“Ali Maradona in our champions league game in Obuasi did the same thing by leading officials of Eyimba FC. He advised them to the extent that, they rejected the bus which we gave them and defeated us in addition.

“For now I will be helping them [Nkana FC] with the spiritual aspect because, we don’t want to reveal our identity in Kumasi; we have been tasked to work underground.”

“By all means NKana FC must qualify because Kotoko are playing in the CAF Confederations Cup by default. They are in Africa because we aren’t playing any competitive football in Ghana; so they they have to join us [Hearts of Oak] at home.

“Every club is paying salaries so one club should not get that monopoly and raise shoulders, by all means Kotoko have to come home.”

Asante Kotoko lost the first leg to the Zambia side in Kitwe as the game ended 3-1.

A win on Sunday will keep their chances of qualifying out of the group
