Upper East Regional Minister Appeals To Bongo Traditional Council To End Chieftaincy Conflicts

The Upper East Reginal Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih has visited Bongo Traditional Area to add his voice to end the chieftaincy conflicts happening in the region.

The Upper East Region has been one of the centres for chieftaincy conflicts for the past years and as a way of putting an end to this, many politicians and influential people have called for peace to reign in these areas which has prompted the regional minister to add his voice.

Bongo chief, Naba Baba Salfu Lemyaarum, the chiefs and the people welcomed him and made an appeal to him to ensure developments in the district. The chiefs mentioned that, projects such as Bongo-Borigo road, Vea speed ramp should be done in a haste and provide tham with potable water.

The minister welcomed their plea and also appealed to the people to support him achieve his mission as a Regional Minister. "The Region has everything to development by it's self but there is conflict between us so we can't go forward and there won't be any developments if we continue this way so I need your support to end the conflict and create way for development in the Region", he urged.

He added that, the residents should be each others keepers, as there is a vital massage which says "If you see something say something". He then said he is ready to work with all to bring development to the Upper East Region.
