After the announcement of the electoral commission (EC's) 2023 limited voters registration exercise on Thursday, September 12, and ends on Monday October 2 and added that the exercise would take place at its district offices across the country.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) and four other political parties sued the electoral management body led by Jean Mensah, the chairperson of the electoral commission over the issue.
The Opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Organizer in Akyemansa, Anthony Bismark Boafo says the Electoral commission intends on decision to conduct the 2023 limited voter registration exercise at its various district offices was a suppression to votes aid the commission in rigging the 2024 general election in Favour of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He said all the plans of the EC will fail and should therefore act free and fair in every aspect of conducting election and other duties.
" NPP and EC's plans has failed, EC must be fair, he stated.
According to him, the NDC will deploy all legal means at their disposal to ensure their plan is aborted completely in Akyemansa district and that can secure them to win the Akyemansa MP seat and also the presidential in 2024.
