A renowned Ghanaian Music Producer, Hammer has expressed that award schemes in the country have led several musicians into a state of depression.
According to him, the Award Schemes in Ghana has lost it potentials,he continued by citing an example like Pappy Kojo who went into depression because he was nominated for nine Awards but didn’t win even one at the VGMA Awards.
This act has a huge potential effect on some of the Artistes mentaly, because their minds are very fragile and if you joke with it, it’s very dangerous, don’t push these boys to the wall and just walk away from them, it breaks them, he said this during an interview he granted on AsempaFm.
‘‘when you nominate an artiste for nine awards at least he/she must leave with two. If you know that the person is not getting even one award, don’t give him or her nine nominates. It’s too much to go home empty-handed, you can nominate that person for three awards.
