The President of the republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has commissioned Ghana’s first National Security Ministry in Accra on Monday 7th June 2021.
Speaking at the ceremony , his excellency, Nana Akufo Addo touched on matters concerning the implementation of strategies that are beneficial to the state resources allocation and budgetary funding.
To enhance the implementation of the national security strategy, the ministries, departments and agencies and municipal , district assemblies are to make specific budgetary provisions for the allocation of funds in the national budget.
He urged the minister for finance to collaborate with the ministry for natural for national security to establish the security fund to support the implementation of the strategy in terms of emergency.
He added that, the national security is set to secure, protect her people, culture and values in the country and also to maintain peace , tolerant, socially cohesive, and also to maintain Ghana as an open land for opportunities and constitutional democracy that upholds the rule of law.
