NDC TO CONSIDER LAW SUIT OVER LEAKED TAPE
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has in a statement singned by their National communications officer, Sammy Gyamfi to staged a defence against a Leaked Tape making waves on social media; describing it as false and doctored and as well considering all the legal option available to it, to salvage the situation.
According to the NDC,the situation is a diversionary tactics to sway away the attention of Ghanaians from the impending expose by ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, of which key officials of the Akuffo-Addo government have been caught on camera receiving bribes in order to compromise government’s so called fight against illegal mining.
The party further stated in the statement that,”the NDC is fully aware of evil and wicked plots by certain elements within National security and Government to spy on meetings of NDC officials”.
The NDC went on to reveal that”we state without equivocation that the position of the NDC on the matters that have alleged on the audio is a matter of public record and that, the party does not need to resort to a so called secret meeting to hatch the sardonic plots captured on the fake tapes being circulated.
Therefore, the party is currently considering a legal action over the doctored tape defaming their National Chairman,Ofosu Ampofo.
