Ghana Police Service Launches “Operation Father Christmas.”
The Ghana police Service has launched it’s operational duties dubbed “Operation Father Christmas” at the National Police Headquarters precisely the operation centre Accra.
The launch was duly based on providing the desired safety and security necessary for a memorable festive season.
According to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mr. David Asante-Apeatu, the vision of the police service is “to be a world class organisation capable of delivering planned, democratic, protective and peaceful services up to standard of international best practice.
Moreover, the IGP sounded a word of caution to people with criminal intent that the police with support from the sister security agencies will not relax in their effort to provide security for law abiding citizens hence people with criminal intent should “repent or their cup will soon be full.”
On the other hand, he gave assurance from the police administration that a lot have been done to address the concerns of the police service saying the support from government in the form of vehicles and other logistics in 2018 was just a tip of the iceberg toppled it with the president H. E Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo’s commitment to modernise the Ghana Police Service.
In conclusion, Mr. Asante-Appeatu said this festive season will be one of the most peaceful and memorable in the history of the nation. He then declared “Operation Father Christmas” duly launched.
