EVERY HOUSE MUST HAVE A FIRST AIDER- GRCS WARNS

The Greater Accra Regional Manager of Ghana Red Cross Society (GRCS) Madam Catherine Adasu has adviced households  to  have first aiders in every house to help protect emergency.

She made this known in an interview on KTV’s health show “SIMA” and said first aid is an immediate help given to a sick person before taken to the hospital.
“It doesnt take a degree holder to be a first aider  but all one needs is the hand and eye to become a  professional first aider”
She explained and said  instead of people considering their safety as the number one factor, they rather think about how to fetch money which put most Ghanaians in danger so it is the duty of every citizen to learn  to be a first aider.
” We use the right medication for the right situation “so most at times placing a patient on a comfortable chair can help heal the person and we can find  most of the things that can serve as a first aid around us like blanket, handkerchief and even the pen we use in writing she said.
” Every house hold must have a first aider”and you can create them yourself by cutting your unused dress in a triangular shape which can be use as a bondage in case of an emergency.”
