“I can’t be blamed for $134 judgement debt” – Boakye Agyarko

Former Energy Minister,Boakye Agyarko has clarified that the abrogation of Ghana’s Emergency Power Agreement with GCGP Limited which has resulted in $134 judgement debt did not occur under his auspices and would therefore not accept any blames for it.

Speaking on Oman Fm,the former minister seemed very unhappy and perplexed with the outcry of most Ghanaians that he is responsible for the judgement debt.

He indicated that he was no longer the Energy Minister at the time the deal was being cancelled.

The GCGP which is one of many emergency power agreements signed under the Mahama administration to eradicate the infamous power fluctuations which was termed in the local parlance as “dumsor”,was alleged to have been abrogated by Boakye Agyarko.

This fueled the former Energy Minister to vindicate himself.
