Popular musician, Darlington Akwasi Agyekum, popularly known in the creative arts industry as D’Cryme, cleared the air by confirming to the claims of artists charging huge sums of money for performance.

According to him in an exclusive interview with Mona Gucci on Kantanka TV’s late night entertainment show, “LINK UP “ the artist expatiated that, he will not debunk the fact that Artists demands huge sums of money but it depends on mutual understanding and negotiations between the Artiste and the employer. He continued that, most event organizers phone in after telling them your price tag letting you know the nature of the event in order for us to slash off the amount.

The ‘’Kill me Shy’’ hit maker stated that, it has always being a managerial decision and as well their source of funding in taking care of themselves and their families. He also highlighted on how his profession as an artist has helped his family and friends.

He further explained how his career has brought so many blessings and incentives in the form of opportunities to meet high profiled people in the society, contracts, music deals and the ease of seeking and soliciting funds to help other people in need.

He highlighted on the need for all artists to support themselves by promoting each other’s music in order to win together and make Ghana proud and entertain the world at large.

D’Cryme concluded in stating the need for every artist to have a publicist in order to correct the ill mannered stories and fabrications about them on some blogging sites and ease them the pain of coming out to explain themselves, whenever stories about them pops up on the internet.
