TOO MUCH PAIN KILLERS LEADS TO RHEUMATISM – HERBAL RESEARCHER UNFOLDS

Herbal Researcher and the Chief Executive Officer for Natural Way Herbal Clinic, Dr. Wiafe Akenten enlightened viewers on Rheumatism during the health segment on Kantanka TV’S morning show, Fontomfrom in an interview with Abena Kyei Boakye on Friday 24th July  2020.

He described Rheumatism as pains or inflammation caused in muscles and joints. He further stressed that, even though Rheumatism and arthritis have similar traits, there are some differences between them. Speaking on the causes of Rheumatism, Dr. Wiafe stated that, allergies, too much intake of animal fat, drug abuse, meat, alcohol, smoking, eye problem, salty foods, sugary foods and among others are all factors that triggers Rheumatism.

Dr. Wiafe continued that, sometimes too much pain killers can make the situation worse. For instance, addiction of pain killers might cause anxiety which puts the body under duress and devoid the body of its needed rest. He mentioned that working overtime without rest is also one of the risk factors that can lead to Rheumatism.

He further revealed that, the precautionary measures that one must adopt to prevent the above-mentioned causes of Rheumatism, includes high consumption of sun and fire foods such as: cucumbers, carrots, kontomire, snails, crabs, food products that contains potassium and also consumption of water. He advised that we should adopt the habit of regular exercise.
