ORAL CONTRACEPTIVES INCREASE BREAST CANCER IN WOMEN – EFFA BAFFO
A renowned human health researcher and library assistant at the University of Ghana Medical School, Korle-Bu, Effa Baffo Gyamfi has revealed on Kantanka TV that oral contraceptive is very dangerous and it increases the risk of getting breast cancer in women.
According to the researcher , the oral contraceptive research conducted on 30th October, 2006, proves that the oral contraceptive in which most women take in to avoid unwanted pregnancies popularly known as family planning is very dangerous so every woman should avoid it. He said, the contraceptive contains estrogens and hormones that make them behave as pregnant women with big belly.
“That’s is why most young women appear like pregnant women with big belly, heavy breasts, irregular menstrual flow or heavy and prolonged menstruation and it constitutes the premature death of these people”, he stated.
Effa Baffo made these revelations when discussing cancer as a topic on Kantanka TV’s morning show ‘Fontomfrom’ hosted by the elegant Abena Kyei Boakye on Tuesday. He further indicated that the excessive use of contraceptives by young adults either by vaginal insert or pills also contribute to the abnormal flow of menstruation.
