BERNARD TUTU COMMENDS GOV’T ON RAILWAY LINE INITIATIVE
Lecturer at Methodist University College, Bernard Tutu Boahen has commended the government of Ghana on their decision to construct a section of the Western railway line in Ghana.
According to Bernard Tutu, this initiative is in the right direction as it will ensure the country’s railway sector development. He recapitulates that the government is doing well in the railway sector since it’s also in the pipeline to construct new railway lines to replace the old ones and work beyond the borders of Ghana.
“Improvement in tourism, internal and external infrastructural development, low transport cost for both freight and passengers, facilitating the efficient transportation of passengers and goods and minimum traffic risk will be ensured with this initiative”, he disclosed.
“As am commending the government for such initiative, I am also advising them to apply maintenance culture on all our newly constructed railway lines for their prolongment”, he advised.
He made these comments during the newspaper review segment in an encounter with Alhaji Irbard Ibrahim on Friday 5th June, 2020 edition of Kantanka TV’s ‘Fontomfrom’ morning show.
