The chief executive officer of Nature Trend Clinic, Dr. Ibrahim Osman has revealed that 80% of Ghanaian men are infertile. According to him, most of this infertility is caused by daily consumption of canned and caffeinated foods.

Speaking on the topic Infertility in an interview with Abena Kyei Boakye on Ghana’s morning show of the moment, ‘Fontomfrom’, he said foods that are kept in plastics and cans are the major cause of infertility in men.

“Eating hot food in rubber or can is very dangerous to the human body but the right thing to be done is to eat foods that are in paper containers”, he added. Dr. Ibrahim moreover said canned foods have what is called trans-fat which can cause harm to the human body.

He indicated that caffeinated drinks, especially energy drinks contain excessive sweetness and phosphoric acid which prevents the male reproductive system from functioning properly.
