SUPPORT KIDS INVADING THE STREETS – DR. BERNARD TUTU LAMENTS
Methodist University Lecturer, Dr. Bernard Tutu-Boahene has said that, caring for the needy children within this pandemic era globally is an essential aspect to tackle now especially in Ghana.
Dr. Bernard Tutu continued that, it is time for the department of social welfare in Ghana to support children invading the streets of Ghana especially in the Greater Accra, Central region and other cities to seek alms within this era of pandemic. According to him these children go around without wearing nose-mask and risking their lives on the streets, without proper protection.
Covid-19 which has made most countries more advanced in technology should also be a great way for the government agencies and the department of social welfare in Ghana to create computer software or app to train kids and provide shelter for them to reduce the danger at which they go through in this period, he added.
He stressed out that the government and most influential personalities within the Ghanaian setting should assist the needy kids in diverse ways and with adequate security and shelter they may need to help prevent the spread of covid-19. He made this known in an interview with Alhaji Irbard Ibrahim, host of Kantanka TV’s morning show, “Fontomfrom”.
