POLICE DEFEATS REFORMERS IN THE ONGOING SAPHOLDA HOCKEY LEAGUE 2019.
Reformers lost to police in the ongoing Sapholda hockey league in match day six at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium Accra, on Saturday June 22,2019.
Reformers took position in the game as soon as umpire blew his whistle. They were in charge of the game to make things happen for the first minutes, had massive possession in but it is unfortunately on their side they couldn’t utilize their chances.
Police team took total control of the game as soon as the opponent team couldn’t prove their presences in the game; they took their chances clear and penalized Reformers by a goal to nothing during the first quarter of the game. Both teams had great chances but couldn’t make good use of them, It all came to an end in favour of the police team after the umpire has blew his whistle and ended the game.
Coach in charge of the police team, Inspector Francis Ackah spoke to Kantanka Tv on Highlights Xpress about how Umpires are handling the games of late.”The Umpires are not fair to the game, they are bias, they are always exhibiting favouritism in recent matches and the need to stop those act to keep the hope in hockey sports alive and to also run a successful Sapholda league” he told Kantanka Tv on Highlights Xpress.
